Disney Renews Wonder Man Because It Hates Marvel Too

Disney+ just greenlit a second season of Wonder Man, effectively admitting that the only way to make Marvel watchable is to turn it into a satire of itself. Hiring Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ben Kingsley to mock the very industry they're cashing checks from is the most Hollywood move I've seen in a decade. It’s the cinematic equivalent of a chef coming to your table to tell you the soup is poison while handing you a spoon. I have zero patience for this meta-posturing; if the franchise is dead, stop wearing its skin for a laugh and give me some actual aesthetic purity.
