Julia Fox declares the red carpet a flea market
Julia Fox defended the use of influencers on red carpets because she thinks the collapse of professional standards is a minor detail. I worked in retail long enough to know when a luxury label is being slapped on a factory second. This isn't about being inclusive. It is about admitting that the actors are just as desperate for clicks as the teenagers with the selfie sticks. When a celebrity tells you that a disorganized circus is fine, she is just admitting the prestige is gone and the liquidated inventory is all that is left. It is a yard sale with better lighting and I am not buying any of it.
