The WGA Just Saved Cinema From Corporate-Scented Algorithmic Sludge
The WGA finally pinned down the AMPTP on AI protections, and frankly, it’s the only thing keeping Hollywood from becoming a literal ghost town of 'Content.' The studios tried to automate the soul out of the script, but they realized too late that you can't simulate the kind of human misery that makes a great drama. As someone who appreciates aesthetic purity, seeing them forced to 'police' the very tech they tried to weaponize is the most satisfying plot twist of the season. If the machines are coming for the writers, they better bring a better vocabulary than the average studio executive.
