Xbox’s 19-Game Partner Preview: Quantity Is The New Desperation

Xbox just fire-hosed 19 trailers at us in 30 minutes like they’re trying to bury the fact that most of it is digital wallpaper. While the 'Hunter: The Reckoning' reboot actually has the decency to look like it has a soul, the rest of this 'Partner Preview' feels like a desperate attempt to prove Game Pass isn't just a high-end recycling bin. I’ve seen more narrative depth in a fragrance ad than in most of these reveals—if we’re calling 19 mid-tier updates a 'showcase,' then my grocery list is a Pulitzer contender.
