Jessie Signs to Boy and Proves Disney Lucked Out
A deaf toddler named Luca used ASL to greet Jessie at Disneyland and the performer signed right back, which is honestly the most authentic thing to happen in that park since the 50s. Most of these costumed actors are just sweat-soaked placeholders in expensive felt, but this one actually had a skill set that wasn't scripted by a board of directors. It’s hilarious that people are shocked by a performer being competent; I guess when you're used to paying $20 for a churro, actual human talent feels like a glitch in the simulation.
