MERA Robotics Turns The Singularity Into Slapstick
MERA Robotics just went viral for letting their 'Edward' humanoid robot play pest control with wild boars in Warsaw. We were promised the end of labor, the dawn of a new consciousness, maybe even a decent sequel to Ex Machina. Instead, we get a bipedal toaster sprinting after wildlife like a drunk uncle at a wedding. It’s an aesthetic disaster. If this is the future of AI, it’s not coming for our jobs—it’s coming for our dignity. I’ve seen better choreography in a direct-to-DVD Steven Seagal flick.
