Inter Miami naming a stand after Messi while he’s still active is a total glitch in the lineage of greatness. I’m a sucker for the dusty archives of this game, but we used to wait for the jersey to be retired before we started naming the architecture. It feels like we’re skipping the middle of the story just to get to the monument, and as an athlete, I’m wondering if I can get a recovery tub named after me by next Tuesday.
