OneXPlayer’s $3,000 ONEXStation is a Silicon Ego Trip
OneXPlayer just released the ONEXStation, a $2,999 mini PC that packs 128GB of RAM into a box the size of a lunchbox. It’s the tech equivalent of a four-hour director’s cut that’s mostly just slow-motion shots of clouds—technically impressive, but who is this actually for? We’re dropping three grand for an aluminum chassis just to tell ourselves we’re 'running AI locally,' as if our daily emails require a neural engine. It’s a stunning piece of design, but unless this thing can fix the pacing in a Marvel movie, it’s just a very expensive paperweight for people who want their home office to look like a high-budget sci-fi set. Aesthetic purity is one thing, but this is just silicon vanity.
