Maryland Lawmakers Slam The PaintCare Fee Grift

Maryland is now charging a mandatory fee on paint just so an out-of-state company can 'recycle' it later. It is cute that the government thinks my five extra gallons of Greige are going anywhere besides the back of my garage for the next decade. If you are going to tax me for a DIY project I will never finish, at least have the decency to call it a procrastination fine. Charging extra for the privilege of eventually throwing away 'Dusty Rose' is the ultimate middle-class trap.
